She did try texting me a few times later with the same BS but I just never responded (considered blocking her but I wanted to know who was calling if she called). She had been my bestfriend since we were 12. Was a social worker who worked with abused people. Could not see what was in front of her

It was very satisfying and somewhat exhilarating to grab my bag and dramatically walk out of that café. My husband was a couple tables over staying out of the way because he was getting wet waiting outside but didn't want to interfere.

Yeah I had a friend do this. She was my bestfriend but wouldn't help me when my relationship was obviously getting bad because he was "an old friend"
8 years later she sat down with me wanting to mend fences, but only if I would forgive him and just hang out with them all again.
