As a CPA, can you tell me when money stops being money? Marginal tax rates on the super rich used to exceed 90%. Collected at the state or even federal level, that money could pay any bills you want it to cover.

We need to go back to very high marginal tax rates over, say, $300K income.
A high income should not be a motivating force for politics. They are public servants, not "the ruling class." I think $300K is more than generous for any politician, and I wish it were less.

Millionaires used to be taxed about 3 times the rate of workers, about 90%. You know when that was? The 40s and 50s, back in the age Maga thinks is the "great" time in America, not only for the racism, but for the afforability. Houses at marriage, new cars and vacays every year, etc.
