individualism is about being an individual, recognizing you are a singular human being, unique in the very essence of individuality.
it is not an act you can perform to be an individual, it is inherent to being.
me chilling at the local Micky D's in the 3rd circle of hell, like.

I feel like, if we don't already, we should have something like a section 230 or whatever for intermediary production, or prototyping.

like, it would be nice if your average PCB fab could operate more fluidly with R&D in the US without the repercussion of violating IP law.

just, as a side note to all this healthcare talk.

this is far from a new development in even "liberal" circles. we have been having this discussion since at least the 1930s. with all the same proposals and pitfalls.

been thinking about this alot lately.

there is probably a confluence of events, where if the dems had not been fighting so hard to ensure higher funding for say school teachers, we would not have this disconnect.

cause, I feel like, for alot of these people, they are one and the same.
Regarding insurers, this is basically true, but the problem is this:

The stuff that people get mad at them for doing is often stuff that a single public entity with monopsony power would ALSO do. Remember "death panels"? There's no universe where SOMEONE isn't making these decisions.
There is nothing they do that couldn’t be done better by a single public entity with monospony power and they’ve long since drifted from actuarial risk management (necessary evil at worst) to shareholder value maximization (amoral at best) and turf defense.

there is a confluence of retardation popular among individuals on here.

where they refuse to acknowledge that some things are one and the same.

if you go to the hospital, and it costs you, personally, alot of money, you go bankrupt.

it can equally be the case, that it would bankrupt others.

using a tax that decreases solvency in the market is a bad way to fight inflation, or even excess liquidity.
