I hear a lot of Western analyst downplay the economic interests in the current war in Sudan, arguing that $ is not driving it and that the UAE for example could easily do without Sudan. This is partly bcs ppl are so focused on gold as the key commodity driving the war. (1/3)

For our continent's tankies, as whitewashing bloodshed at home is the main goal, their main targets for harassment are typically local human rights activists and journalists. They'll lazily use the same tired terms to attack us: "traitor of the motherland," "conflict entrepreneur" "colonized," etc.
