Once again, I am asking you to check out who is cited as a source in this NPR piece. I was wondering why NPR was randomly talking about unmarried mothers - two of the sources for this piece are the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.

Forty percent of babies in the U.S. are born to unmarried mothers. Increasingly, those moms are over 30, at a time when teen pregnancy has fallen off a cliff and births are declining for younger women.

Police Said They Surveilled Woman Who Had an Abortion for Her 'Safety.' Court Records Show They Considered Charging Her With a Crime
Court records show that the narrative Flock and a Texas Sheriff's Office has told the public isn't the whole story, and that police were conducting a 'death investigation' into the abortion.

New from 404 Media: X has shown where accounts are actually being run from, revealing many MAGA accounts are actually grifters in Eastern Europe, Asia, etc. But the situation is much, much worse. Entire guides specifically on how to squeeze US audiences with AI.

Having failed at forcing AI on people, they now resort to threats about the economy. He’s not wrong though: if you have mutual funds or if your pension is invested in mutual funds - anywhere in the world - there’s a chance that you’re exposed.
One explanation for economic populism in the US is the recurring cycle of bubbles and bailouts that happens without any democratic input

Dallas is hinting pretty clearly that they’re going for Awa Fam. They’ve put her in all their socials even today. You gotta feel for Lauren who was speculated first pick almost all summer and now drops to fourth and maybe more because I don’t know that DC needs another traditional centre. #wnba
Now that the 2026 WNBA Draft lottery has taken place, it’s mock season.

It’s interesting that Kiki got the call up. I was pretty sure Nigeria was courting her. She’s friendly with Rena Wakama and she was at the Ghana-Nigeria friendly match a few weeks ago. #wnba

So a big part of the Project 2025 goals hinges on forcing women out of the workforce. The Heritage Foundation knows that women voters hold the most power in terms of sheer numbers. If they can push you out of the workforce, they can push you out of your voting rights.
Digging into the data of what's taking place with Black women unemployment and this graph is pretty damning.

You can see the EXACT month Black women's unemployment begins to splinter and that what hit us FIRST is now coming for all other women. This is #TheDoubleTax.

The photos were stolen from European models & posts pushed pro-Trump lines while targeting Islam and LGBTQ people.

There is a whole underworld of exploited workers who make up the foundation of digital tech. We talk about content moderators, but content farms are also very exploitative industries where moderately educated people with reasonable English skills in the global majority are used to push content.
It may be hard to believe, but Twitter was once a useful public space instead of a weird monetization scheme for racist ragebait chatbots.

I was at a non- English conference this week and I was alarmed at the number of times I heard “I asked Chat GPT” from people who are in social movements and community work. Are these very important debates about the impact of this tech surfacing beyond English first communities?

it is absolutely the tech companies fault that people now assume they’re doing something evil and sneaky even when they actually aren’t (regarding the latest Google kerfuffle)

like, no kidding that people have zero willingness to cut big tech the benefit of the doubt anymore

Women’s basketball was a test case.
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.
