Once again, I am asking you to check out who is cited as a source in this NPR piece. I was wondering why NPR was randomly talking about unmarried mothers - two of the sources for this piece are the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.
Forty percent of babies in the U.S. are born to unmarried mothers. Increasingly, those moms are over 30, at a time when teen pregnancy has fallen off a cliff and births are declining for younger women.

New from 404 Media: X has shown where accounts are actually being run from, revealing many MAGA accounts are actually grifters in Eastern Europe, Asia, etc. But the situation is much, much worse. Entire guides specifically on how to squeeze US audiences with AI.

So a big part of the Project 2025 goals hinges on forcing women out of the workforce. The Heritage Foundation knows that women voters hold the most power in terms of sheer numbers. If they can push you out of the workforce, they can push you out of your voting rights.

There is a whole underworld of exploited workers who make up the foundation of digital tech. We talk about content moderators, but content farms are also very exploitative industries where moderately educated people with reasonable English skills in the global majority are used to push content.
It may be hard to believe, but Twitter was once a useful public space instead of a weird monetization scheme for racist ragebait chatbots.

I was at a non- English conference this week and I was alarmed at the number of times I heard “I asked Chat GPT” from people who are in social movements and community work. Are these very important debates about the impact of this tech surfacing beyond English first communities?

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.
My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.
