Bernice Summerfield: The Doomsday Manuscript. This one didn't stick with me well. I think it's well-performed, but I kept losing the plot. It's been a pretty stressful week, so that might be on me, but this one really didn't hold my attention.

The 1974 #DoctorWho comic "The Metal Eaters" has villains that are a little less suave than The Master. but it also has this epic action panel.

Ravenous 3. To me, this is where Ravenous really started to come together. The stories are all wonderful explorations of fear. "Companion Piece" was a really enjoyable story. Having so many companions of the 8th Doctor come together to solve a problem was very cool. Some of them hadn't been around..

Torchwood: God Among Us 2. I still feel like these would be a little more suited if there were a stronger continuity between the stories. It's there, but generally very in the background. Mayne that will come more into play in the final set. There were some good stories though. By far, the one that

her character's twist was wonderful. The entire series being a pseudo-sequel to Dalek Masterplan works really well, and gives the story a strong foundation. Aside from the overall story arch, my favorite story was "Planet of the Drashigs" by Phil Mulryne. Again, it added to lore in a respectful way.

4th Doctor Series 8. I was skeptical of this series. I know @bigfinish.bsky.social has successfully created so many original companions for other Doctors, but the 4th Doctor somehow felt like he should stay with the classics. However, I instantly warmed to @janeslavin.bsky.social 's Ann Kelso, and..

Missy 1. This set was really enjoyable. Missy works really well on audio, and all the stories found ways to center her even though she's clearly a villain. I had wondered how that would work. "A Spoonful of Mayhem" by @roygill.bsky.social was a perfect starting point. We truly got to see Missy as...

1st Doctor Adventures 3. This is still not my favorite series. The cast's voices are just quite far away from the original cast and it always pulls me out of the stories. That being said, I really enjoyed the story of Guy Adam's "Tick-Tock World." With something going wrong with the TARDIS, it...

I’m very late to post about this. In June, I got my second #tattoo , and my second #DoctorWho tattoo. My first one took up part of my shoulder. This one is a lot bigger! The circular Gallifreyan was transcribed by @protagonistivy.bsky.social . I strongly recommend her for any Gallifreyan work…

Diary of River Song 5. Oh, I really loved this set. All four stories were great. Having River interact with a bunch of different Master incarnations was just so much fun. It's a combination of a positive rebel and a negative rebel. Great fun. I think the first two stories were my favorites...

The New Counter-Measures: The Hollow King. I have come to enjoy this series quite a bit. It's very old-timey spy thriller. In this case, they are investigating a wellness-retreat/cult. It was a pretty enjoyable listen, and these actors inhabit their characters very well. Different from a lot of

Subscriber Short Trip, Loud and Proud by Andrew Allan. This one was pretty fun to listen to. The entire idea of the 6th Doctor needing to take anger management classes is a great setup, and I appreciated him getting the scales balanced by having someone else try to strangle him. Simple but fun.

Jonathan Morris is more serious. It gives a lot of Kamelian's backstory and is a great exploration of how alliances can change and how you can trust. These three have a pretty unique group of characters for the monthly range. That change was fun.

Monthly Range 247-249. These three are 5th, Tegan, Turlough, and Kamelian, and they really focus on who Kamelian is. They're all pretty interesting, but I especially liked the later stories. "Power Game" by @eddierobson.bsky.social was just a lot of fun. The final story, The Kamelian Empire, by

I started with the early Bernice Summerfields of 1998 and have been listening to everything basically in release order. I've still got a long way to go, but I just hit a good milestone. In listening to "Devil in the Mist" I've made it to the year 2019 releases. Over 20 years of Big Finish!

War Master 2. It took me a little while to get into this one, and I think I ended liking the first set more. I did appreciate having one overarching story, and Derek Jacobi wonderful. He can create the most perfect evil and mocking tone. It's so perfect for the Master. I also really appreciated...

Vicki trying to go back to prevent the crash that landed her on Dido where she met the Doctor. It's a wonderful exploration of the butterfly effect, and is pretty creepy in its realization. The whole set is Vicki and Steven stories, and I just love the way Peter and Maureen act and narrate.

Early Adventures 5. 2 of the stories in this set are truly outstanding. "The Dalek Occupation of Winter" by @davidkbarnes.com is such a new take on a Dalek occupation. It's really bleak too. I absolutely did not expect the ending. The final story, "The Crash of the UK-201" by Jonathan Morris has...

other favorites. I really loved @misterphipps.bsky.social 's "A Small Semblance of Home." It's a wonderful illustration of the kinder side of the 1st Doctor. I did not see the end of "The Last Day of Work" coming at all. @bowtieanimation.bsky.social adds a wild bit of lore to the #DoctorWho universe
