I'm editing a chapter on Santa Slashers and I completely forgot that I wrote a lengthy diatribe about how Santa doesnt exist. It should probably be taken for granted but its also too depressing to chop up. Good editing practice and what amuses me have come into conflict once more

Today I learned that Muscular Christianity has made a theory-based comeback. It's one of the funnier concepts i discovered during my PhD, but I can only imagine how dangerous its resurgence probably is

One thing I hate about reporting/research into the manosphere is that they rarely examine the influence of the mythopoetic movement. New media misogyny is a very successful rebrand of the nonsense spewed by Bly and his fellow Jungians, but is discussed as if it popped up out of nowhere

It's genuinely hilarious that the creative team behind The Boys believe they're making punk rock art... while being bankrolled by one of the single most powerful corporations to ever exist.

After a chat about parallel releases at the Elm Street conference, I've finally done the research. Time Cut lethargically uses time travel to establish an aesthetic and literally nothing else, whereas Totally Killer dedicates to letting it bleed into every aspect of the text.
