Seasonal affective disorder is... Well, I want to say "the actual, literal worst!", except I know there are so, sooo many things out there that brutally invalidate that statement. It still sucks and puts you down into the bottom of a dark pit that's hard to see out of though.

I generally eschew the mute/block because I feel like I'd be guilty of some kind of high level hypocrisy. There's plenty I just have no interest seeing on my feeds (female anatomy/sex organs in the top 5, for ex.) but I feel like I'd be punishing their freedom of expression or echo chambering myself

I'm a legit artist, or at least I was before a TBI. I can't hold my hands steady without significant discomfort and pain as a result, so charcoal and most digital art are out. I've honestly been afraid to try painting because of how crushed I would be to lose that too. 1/2

1: coerced sex (hypnotism, etc) is still rape.
2: Unless it's bdsm/roleplay with all its guardrails, safe words, etc., the "top" forcing the "bottom" against their will is still rape.
3: Dubious consent is just that. Consent must be clear at all times.

There are many reasons why going into trucking (OTR driver) was a mistake (yet still a valuable life experience). Many more reasons why doing it for 14 years was a mistake, but one of the biggest is that I don't know anyone anymore, and those I do have long ago left the fandom... or passed away.

You know, despite how much I despise violence, I find myself having an increasingly difficult time coming up with meaningful reasons why the lower 99% of the socioeconomic world shouldn't just up and feed the top 1% to wood chippers. Their hoarded resources could go an awful long way, too.

I've been dinking around with DALL-E 3. It's still not about to replace a human artist. It's good, but not human.
Its furry "art" is pretty amazing. The AI understands the *concept* of an anthro animal (to be continued)

I think just about everyone underestimates just how much I love pumpkin -the color, the flavor, the silky (when fine right) texture. Sweet, savory, and everything in between. Thai pumpkin curry? Oh yeah! Pumpkin pie? Yep! Soup, pasta, beer, and of course the PSL and its variants.

A quick little thought for y'all. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having preferences. There isn't anything wrong with stating them as long as it's done respectfully. Some people hate pumpkin, some people love it. Both are valid. Same for bodies and kinks and books and everything in between.

The problem with a character that's lawful good, is that they'll find every (legal) reason to justify calling themselves good long after they've turned well and truly evil.

It's kinda fun finding people that I know here... Like in person know. One such person ran into me the first and only time I ever drank at a con, soon after turning 21. I'm not sure if it's booze memory, but I think he successfully lit my breath on fire. It was hilarious.

Perhaps that's the traditional artist (and digital too) in me going "how dare!?!", or perhaps it's because I see it as a perversion of an incredibly powerful tool that could have positive aspects. One example is that you experience a TBI and have had to largely give up on art since (reasons)

Thought 1) I experiment with ML and generative AI... But I find the idea of training a model or "checkpoint" to specifically mimic a particular person's style, or only produce "good" results when you include multiple artist tags to be *deeply offensive*.
