Someone on this app suggested science communicators & researchers create a Spotify list of some of our interviews in case anyone wants to dive deeper into our work. Say less! Great idea & I encourage others to do the same. 🧪 🤖 #AI #ethics #robots #scicomm #spotify open.spotify.com/playlist/47A...

The Youth have alllll the flavors of Mad Dog now, too.

GenX had purple or red. Both colors tasted and acted like prescription cough medicine.

New POLITICO report: Trump admin is “exploring options to sell parts of the government’s $1.6T student loan portfolio to the private market.”

We're announcing our willingness to purchase the portfolio for its market value. We will then subsequently cancel the debt.

“There’s a baby!”

Guns drawn. Windows smashed. With a 1 month old in the car. (They did this as he was coming home from an immigration court appointment— which is illegal in Colorado: coloradosun.com/2025/10/01/i...)

I feel slightly numb and mostly exhausted at the amount of antisemitism posting about antisemitism has triggered on my BlueSky posts

Being Jewish on social media means having to expect it, and I’d almost got desensitised it

Almost

To all the antisemites, I say: f*ck you

I can feel that my first blood transfusion from Monday really kicked in today, which is a weird sensation! So strange to suddenly feel almost healthy again.

Also, a sickly roboticist who gets a blood transfusion needs to be an origin story. I am a trope.

That’s a baby werewolf for Halloween, not a dog. Still 14/10, would howl with him at the moon.

this is wild: while Stephen Miller's guy was in Minnesota for his uncle's funeral, somebody was able to see his entire phone and take pictures of his Signal group chats talking about military deployments to Portland, and brought them to the Strib (gift link: www.startribune.com/trump-offici...)

Yesterday I got my COVID booster and flu shot. Every year I’m thankful to science for access to both.

Sickened by what happened in Manchester, and even more sickened by people who can’t seem to tell the difference between the state of Israel and a few Jews just going to temple.

You’re using a fake "community rep" strawman to smear American Jews as a bloc. That’s lazy scapegoating. "Virtually every Jewish community" is your invention. Jews hold diverse, conflicting views. Painting millions with one brush is how trolls launder antisemitic tropes.

Traci, diaspora Jews are not Israeli. A good faith example: I am an American and Jewish and can therefore do fuckall about Netanyahu, any more than you can. I do not have a supersecret dual relationship that connects me to Israel. See how that works? If not, then you're being willfully ignorant.

Pass. Not similar, Davecat! No bad no.

The transfusion is a stopgap measure, a temporary solution until a diagnosis is made. I feel good today, though, so I'll take it.

Court-watchers confirm this cruel ICE agent has been reinstated.

Last week, in the briefest moment of decency, violently throwing a woman to the floor was “beneath the men and women of ICE.”

This week, it’s back to business as usual. The cruelty, after all, is the point.

I was back at 26 Federal Plaza today, where an ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital. (🎥: Elias Eliahu)

I spoke with Michelle Kim in S. Korea about the complex ethics of eldercare and social robots. It's a topic I dive deeply into in my book "The Naked Android," too. Kim wrote a nuanced piece on the problems and promises of social robots and seniors.
