Cycling is good for knees, and low impact. Hip strengthening will also benefit your knees. Single leg squats, lunges, standing hip drop, and banded clamshells can be a start. Weak hips often lead to our knees overcompensating. But I recommend seeing a physio so they can assess what your problem is.

It’s definitely not something he would ever discuss with his father. My son is autistic, so he has a different approach to life than a lot of kids. I told him it was his body, so his choice, and what he could do if he does want to maintain it.
