I like to feel physical checks and physical bills and physical cash. I will pay as many bills as possible by writing physical checks until every business forces me to stop. Only a few have so far,home insurance and the water bill.I can’t keep track of what’s coming in or out with automatic payments.

The tone-deaf stupidity of the hard cold left is why I don’t fear them nearly as much as the radical populist right. The greatest danger to our country from the hard far left is that they will empower the radical populist right,either inadvertently or often by design.

there are still millions of voters who will grasp at almost anything to vote for proTrump. And that “almost anything” can be spread to all of them now via social media algorithms. They will grasp at this church incident,they will grasp at a pack of leftists calling for “abolishing the Senate”,etc

It wouldn't have made enough difference. But I suspect General Kelly and General Mattis now wish they had publicly spoken out forcefully against Trump in the run-up to the 2024 election,not necessarily proHarris,rather than just allow themselves to be quoted. Mike Pence spoke out more than they did.
