A very cool thread about meteors in ancient astronomy:
Star gazers in ancient Mesopotamia focused on recurring stuff like planetary motion, but sometimes they wrote about meteors.

Who doesn't like a #meteor? This pretty thing was seen from Sussex, Shropshire and beyond just before 1 this morning. Image from Global Meteor Network camera UK0002 in #Eastbourne, and also seen by four #FRIPON cameras.
