This is standard fare - politicians go around in hi-vis clothing and/or hard hats, and get photographed pointing at things (which may or not exist).

It's supposed to give the impression that they're "doing something", progress is being made and they're getting stuff done in some vague fashion.

AI investment really is based on wild, baseless speculation. The returns are well in the negative, uptake minimal, and cash-burn phenomenal - so even with this many suckers (albeit of phenomenal wealth), it's going to run out of steam very soon.

Possibly both. Any idiocy can be uttered against a perceived enemy, and it will not get criticism or even much thought. Just belligerent agreement.

Perhaps we should have quotas on the number of people eligible for diagnosis? That would surely sort out any excessive numbers being registered.

Naturally, the quota limit should be defined by a politician - someone willing to make the "tough decisions."

Turning Labour into a far-right party is simply treacherous.

Supporting a genocide is a crime against humanity.
