My advice? Don’t put it off. I did until my elder black lab was too old & anxious to travel. He passed this last December & I made it up to him as best I could by having his ashes next to me in the front seat for the entire 17K trip. Felt like he was there.

And wasn’t the “planned opening” of a distillery there either last year or the year before? When I heard about that new plan I laughed out loud. What is it about Alaska and far-fetched business ideas? I remember the rumor 15 years ago that Ramada was thinking of buying the Buckner.

As an Alaskan, there’s many endearing things from Northern Exposure that I’d like to normalize. :)

Always curious: what was the contaminant?

I *love* how this shot came out on a piece of red paper - no toning needed to make this cyanotype look like a black-on-red print! Had 11 folks sign up, another record for me and my weekend workshops, and we all had a blast! Used a shot from my 2024 Roadtrip from PDX’s Hoyt Arboretum.

Needed some low-energy creativity today, so I’m colorizing my GBC images from the summer. These were a hit at my recent @cozycollectiveak market debut, and I’m excited to make a few new ones.
