So I think we are seeing multiple small signals at far closer distances along the road visible on Google Earth. There is nothing in the seismic signal at IC.WMQ to suggest that it came from close to the Lop Nor test site.

If we project a line of length 200 km at this bearing (185 degrees backazimuth from station IC.WMQ) we get this - quite a different direction than from the Lop Nor test site. The seismic signal has bursts of P-wave energy with this backazimuth interspersed with off-azimuth energy.
