Why is finding equivalents to old lube such a pain in the ass?
Esso doesn’t exist anymore. Exxon/mobil doesn’t explicitly list p-290 anymore, but do list a p325 which may cause swelling on the fibre gear. There’s a direct correlation to p290 to exxon 5127, but no catalog listing.

Anyone else annoyed by BlueSky advertising that one shirt with Latin on it?

Buy one of our shirts, they’ve got camera stuff on them.

The default flash unit for the perfex, cee-ay 35, and ciro 35 is so ridiculous. Also annoyingly made of tennite butyrate so it has a habit of shrinking.

I need to hunt down one of these 4x5 super d vulcanoid cases.

This is legitimately kinda insane, and I love it. I want that 4” roll back. If only we can get a 4” film to stuff in this sucker, then it would legitimately be a solid solution for 4x5 work with the Graflex.

Sheet film was too thin to use the sheet basket. Switched to hangers and got ok results. Bonus, the bag mag didn’t fog them.

I don’t love readjusting this thing. The setscrews are fiddly and you need a sheet of film to check that the top is levelled correctly. But i don’t shoot enough sheet stock rn to justify wasting developer to oxidation to keep deep tanks full so I can use hangers.

Looks like the telephoto bed scales on my pre-anni, have infinity at around 7-7.5”
Most telephotos are ½ the bellows draw of the stated focal length, so that puts if to a 14 or 15” telephoto like the dallmeyer or cooke. I don’t think it’s the Schneider given the provenance.

A few film shots from my last trip to #Ribblehead … I like how these give a “was this shot this year, or in 1900?” vibe

It would be a perfect shot were it not for my rangefinder falling out of calibration. Wound up using an orange filter, which seperated the sky out nicely.
