Bragging about working 80 hours per week is akin to bragging that you run 120 miles per week.

It tells us nothing except that you can spend a lot of time doing an activity. What matters more is what happens on race day or in your work that matters.

SO frustrating when (at a larger company) you need another service make a small change... so you ask the team owning it to do it, and they tell you "sorry, can't do now, we can do it maybe in 2-3 months"

SO liberating when you can just make the change yourself and submit the PR

Perfect example of a company wanting to piss off its paying customers.

Either don’t offer phone support, or charge for it. But if you offer it, do it well. HP cannot make up its mind so opted for offering terrible phone support, misleading customers as it does.

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.
