Preventing/reducing respiratory infections such as Sars CoV2 in schools would help with teacher pressure. Illness still accounts for most absences among kids (despite punitive and unsafe attendance policies) and causes expensive teacher absence too. Many CV teachers retired. # @cvcev.bsky.social

Very basic question I’m afraid but when excess deaths are talked about/reported in the media now are they excess compared to 2015-19 baselines? or are they comparing previous 5 yrs (ie subsuming start of pandemic into the baseline)?

BUT no Qus for Clinically Vulnerable people.

They could have asked:
"Did [the DWP] do any analysis during the pandemic of the potential implications of *Clinical Vulnerability* for the workforce or the economy?"
