We found a ~50% decrease in multidrug resistance markers in P.falciparum from West/Central Africa, likely due to ACTs. But monitoring is still crucial!

The #WorldMalariaReport2024 is out!

Since 2000, 2.2 billion cases and 12.7 million deaths have been averted worldwide.

But #malaria is still a threat in 2023: 263 million cases, 597,000 deaths, 95% of deaths occur in Africa. It is time to step up!
