Working on a second version of the blossom scarf, with this as the yarn that ties it together. It will be all gray/black/teal. Gotta love how it looks in a cake

Yarn is (I think) Team Mystic by Once Upon a Corgi, and I only had one hank (purchased secondhand) #crochet

Put a carpet fringe on the end of the blossom scarf, which will even out during blocking. I had 90 stitches across, and probably could have gotten away with 80, but this kind of fringe takes forever, so I'm re-doing it again. #crochet

I'm on row 26/37 of the Blossom scarf, and it's still fun to do. This is done with 4 years worth of brown and blue remnants, and I may go back and do the same scarf with leftover pinks. #crochet

Interestingly, the pattern looks good on both sides.

On row 11/37 of this scarf, and I'm loving it. I'm using this as a stashbuster for my blue and brown remnants, and I think it's a keeper (I've already tried a few other patterns and dumped them.)

Finished the hat I've been working on. It's for dog park use, so nothing special about it. However, I used some Cascade ReFine (recycled wool blend) double-stranded, and the navy snapped several times while I was working.

So...I wouldn't make a rope out of the stuff, I guess, but OK for this.

I've got all three proofs now, and I'll try to get all the final tweaks done this week. (Not due till early December, but I try to be early.)

Some estate stuff to do today, so that will put a wrinkle in my planned timing.

I'm really happy with how the 'arms' I made for my mannequin are working out (for photographs) #crochet

Pulling out of the library parking lot about 10AM yesterday (after voting) hubs snapped this pic from his car. It's a little blurry *because car* but he said this guy was one of the bigger ones and looked pretty healthy.

Prepping to block the hap, and I need more pad, so I've ordered 6 more tiles. ::sigh::

Also, fascinating to see how much the fingering weight border (body is sport) has tightened up while in a tub for a few weeks. #crochet

Finished the first iteration of the skulls collar for Dia de los Muertos (pattern by Katya Novikova). Needs a bit of work for the next try. This is in wool/lyocell but I’m going to try a cotton blend. I’m also trying to decide if I should try it in some other color (like pink or black).

I've assembled my spring 2026 shawl yarns. I'm making an effort not to purchase one-offs any longer, and therefore there's about 1K yards of each of these. Most are new brands to me, an effort to understand better what works in various shawls.

I'm about 1700 yards into this hap project, and will finally (after tying in the loose ends) get to start adding the color. I'm using up a bunch of leftover pinks and browns to make the curvy edging.

Final shawl of this group is blocked, and I'm ready to put my blocking stuff away! Yet another Florescence shawl (Expression Fiber Arts pattern and yarn from Blush Fiber Co in 'Toasted Mauve"). I have a mistake in one of the flowers so I won't be selling this one. I love the yarn anyway...

Now the LARGE Outlander shawl is getting round 2 of blocking. (I blocked it folded in half because it's too big, and have now steamed the center line to get that to lie flat.) This pad is 6' across and 4' deep, so you can see that this shawl is a monster. (Outlander by Lily Go) #crochet

I've gently blocked the SMALLEST of my 3 Outlander shawls, (As you can see, it's about 72" across). This one is in drops baby merino, which is a 'sport' weight, but basically a fluffy fingering, with gunmetal beads.

Shawl #9, the last of this batch. Made with scrap yarn in an altered 'Starlight'. pattern in DK. The body yarn is the aptly named "EmoKyloRen" from Lazy Cat Yarns. More of a shawlette, with what I had left. #crochet.

Day 5, shawls 7 and 8 (only one left) Both of these are ‘one hank’ patterns, so great for those impulse buys that you later can’t fit into anything. The maroon definitely bled color, and evidently not -inert- dye, so that’s disappointing. I’m hoping it will look better when completely dry. #crochet

Here's shawl #6. It's a simple enough pattern (if you skip the beading), but a monster to pin out. This is Florescence from Expression Fiber Arts, a pattern I've made several times now. Yarn is from On the Round Yarn, "Always a Bridesmaid". #crochet

Still moving forward on blocking one per day while I'm in town. Yesterdays was the mulberry yarn in the "Julietta" pattern (by Berniolie) and todays is yet another iteration of the Starlight shawl (by Rachy Newin). #crochet

Because my Outlander Shawl was bigger than my blocking mat, I a) didn't block it very aggressively and b) used the steamer to block the two ends this morning. (I blocked the middle yesterday.) #crochet

I am also working on a shawl where the body is meant to mimic plaid. Not bad, I think. #crochet.

I have finished the 80 granny squares for the sweater, and now I'm on to tying in the loose ends. #crochet
