whatever their trigger is that tells them it's time to seal themselves away, that's when things could get real entertaining.
Professional, hardcore doomsday preppers lost their minds just weeks into the 2020 lockdown. Pampered, entitled wealthy douchebags don't stand a chance.

Patreon being my only source of income at the moment may not be the healthiest thing. To maintain or grow my audience, I need to draw more, faster.
Maybe I should make some merch? Learn sculpting & 3D printing? More!
Comic pages take longer, I should put out some pinups in between. MORE!! FASTER!!!

The kicker? I have no idea how long a comic page "should" take to complete, and yet I've been conditioned to think that it should be done faster. The more I "fall behind", the more exhausting it becomes to continue. It's a toxic cycle.

Just thinking about it now has my blood pressure spiking.

Combined with a fair amount of accumulated trauma...
There was a point a few years back, where I started to associate creativity with pain. The demands of my job had become too much, and broke me. Time away only heals so much.
Now if I feel like I'm lagging behind, that PTSD response comes back.

From Burger King, there's less control, especially through their app. The app lets you specify cream & sugar, but not how much. In person, they always ask. In either case, it's not well-mixed. Sweeter at the bottom, but still bitter.

...I like my coffee smooth & sweet; I'm bitter enough already.

Gas station coffee is fuel for long trips, and most of the time it's the same as my 7-Eleven experience.

The RaceTrac near me is a bit too high-tech for my liking, though. The machines grind & brew on-demand. No stirring the cream & sugar half-way, no mixing flavors or going half decaf if desired.

That Miami Starbucks - Key Biscayne, specifically - was always too busy. There was a private school around the corner, and many of the kids hung out at the shop before class.

I was never a fan of the coffee, there. It tasted like an ash tray. That became my perception of all Starbucks.

When I lived in Miami, Starbucks was closer to my workplace, but 7-Eleven was the better experience because of the extra control it offered. And it tasted better.

I'd pick my cup, add the right amount of cream & sugar first, then pick my coffee flavor(s). Fill half-way, stir, then top it off.
