Some of my video preservation projects can be quite involved. This one is by far the simplest - a single background element only visible for a few frames in the Roger Rabbit Trail Mix-Up short, that has been blurred out in the HD & 4K releases.

Working in 3D for as long as I have certainly helps with the guess-work. And if I'm uncertain about an angle or pose, loading up a 3D model is at least an option.
It'd be more difficult in a realistic style or with a character I'm less familiar with, but practice is still the key.

Disney has a trailer out for their latest & possibly most pointless live-action remake, and I'm... pretty indifferent.
I don't care to watch the trailer, much less the film. I'm not the target audience. What I think ultimately doesn't matter; typing this is as much energy as I want to waste on it.

Deinterlacing can be a bit of a challenge, when dealing with old video signals. Things that were originally shot on film can usually be converted back to 24 fps, unless additional editing, effects, or transitions were done on video. Or sometimes there are segments that were shot entirely on video.

This is something I could add to my media preservation list - the ads at the start of some VHS tapes. In some cases you'd have tie-in ads like this one for Diet Coke in front of Batman (1989).
Other times there was just an absurd amount of ads. My copy of Lady and the Tramp has nearly 10 minutes!
