I had the same reaction. Seems like they tip toed around everything, no doubt because they're afraid the toddlers in the sandbox (RFK, Maggat)will get mad and throw sand in their face. NYT is losing integrity every day. Pathetic.

I agree there seem to be fewer homes with decorations this year. Not many Christmas cards, not hearing about parties and gatherings. Plus everything is still ridiculously expensive. Especially food!

I hate that every year it feels more like a huge chore than a joy 😞. Especially after dealing with all the mess and upheaval in the house after the flooding in August.. I just don't want to do all the work.
