So I’ve emailed AL Rep. Barry Moore, Sen. Tommy Tuberville and Sen. Katie Britt to state my opposition of the Big, “Beautiful” Bill for whatever good it will do. Interesting note, the 2 who actually live in AL are originally from my old hometown, Enterprise. We do what we can, right?

Really important story - army officials asked soldiers to identify themselves if they don't agree with Trump's politics that way he'd get only supportive soldiers in uniform during his political rally on base. Heavier soldiers were also barred from participating.

You are right. But it's 2025. Talking about it as if it will happen is how politics works. It also forces right wing media to talk about it and if there is enough Dem proposed legislation, Trump and Elon have to respond to the Dems rather than vice versa
Given that the Republicans have leadership & a majority in both chambers, such legislation proposals would just be symbolic efforts that won't even make it out of committee.
