Megumi Ohara a eu un début en temps que compositrice ultra stacked

Depuis Pinceau Arc-en-ciel c'est un bonheur de voir son nom apparaître dans les crédits (son dernier boulot sur Pays des Étoiles Filantes est génial)

Very happy that Air Riders let's me share this love for both at once!

Ratchet & Clank is right next to Kirby for favorite video game series for me: love both of them very much :)

The real sign of Air Riders being a Sakurai game instead of a Kumazaki game lol

And by "back in my day" I mean very faint memories of a time when the newest game was Epic Yarn (wasn't even fluent in English) and the online presence just felt... small yet dedicated.
The ancient Youtube channel "foreverkirby" exemplifies what I mean by that, when Kirby felt "niche"

I fully admit that I'm guilty of it but I don't like how the fandom is slowly turning into the Sonic fandom by people dividing themselves into subgroups with vitriol towards specific parts (namely the show and the pre-RTDL days)
Back in my day we liked the entirety of this series goshdarnit

OMG THE TEASED STAR

Immediately failed: finished Crack in Time's Challenge Mode yesterday

Also Ratchet 1 happened to be the game selected for my friend group's game club

You being unaware of the reception as a kid has nothing to do with being dumb

If I could live in pure ignorant bliss and not know general consensus on the stuff I like I would cherish it

Air Ride definitely got panned on release outside Japan for being launched alongside Double Dash and F-Zero GX and being considered the dud out of the three

So getting a sequel that goes above and beyond while still being Air Ride to the core is nice poetic justice

I mainly mean the one button gameplay (even if there's a second one now) and the different Machine properties (things like the slippery Slick Star for instance)

Would have been Ratchet & Clank but I can't exclude Gladiator: that PS2 run is a quadrilogy.

So I guess I'll go with Sly Cooper!

Link's Awakening and the Oracle games are the only Zelda games that actually click with me (it's mostly down to LA being one of my first games and the Oracles sharing the aesthetic), so seeing another game in that style with modern (and indie) design choices has me super excited

Given that's from the same company that over 30 years ago put fully voiced cutscenes in a Mega Drive cartridge, I'm inclined to think yeah it's a deliberate choice lol

A baffling one, and probably also mixed with a budgetary one (as in not spending more than "needed"), but a choice nonetheless

There was a physical PC release indeed! Courtesy of IndieBox, it was the game on a USB stick and came with a ton of goodies (manual, OST on 3 discs, a coin based on Mayor Zao, a wallet and a pouch with a Kingdom Stone replica)
I snagged it second hand as I'm a very recent fan, it was a steal lol

Mad Rat is an easy "duh" pick lol
