Briar Rose's Sewing Needle A small, steel sewing needle thats stained with blood, of which the user refuses to clean. Small bits of linen have been wrapped around the eye of the needle to act as a grip for the weapon. Don't let it's crude impracticality fool you! Briar Rose, the Fairy Wildfire Druid that wields this little Stinger, can, and has, gouged enemies eyes out with this thing!

The Lash of the House of V A signature weapon of a Werecat Tabaxi Blood Hunter, Cicero Valentine. Its adorned with spiked chains and a deadly "Cat Claw" at the end, which is used to hook into a target and pull them towards the user. As a blood hunter, it's also used to draw upon the user's hemocraft abilities. The whip has supposedly been handed down from generations of previous users, and is even marked with the family's symbol: A metal insignia of a cat at the tip of the handle. Its history, however, is obscured. More over, it's current user has no interest in seeking out that lineage. Rather, he's using it purely as a means to an end... even if he does enjoy the destruction its capable of producing.

"Cold-Blooded" Kalda Ishard is a Glacierborn (Ice Genasi), a private investigator, and in the campaign he came from, he's a prolific Fighter. While he amassed a grand total of thirteen different weapons across the campaign (of which I want to eventually draw all of them), the lance was his primary weapon of choice. Serving as master gunner for the Coin Chasers under Captain Haargoth Hammerstorm, the illustrious Golden Tongue, he would eventually create Goldcicle during his journey with her and other allies. Taking the staff of a pirate lord, the dreaded Gold-Plated Gilder, Kalda converted the shaft into what would hold the lance together. Its a special lance that aids his persuasion skills, allows him to interrogate criminals more efficiently, and channels his powers of the cold during combat. It also effective at making Kalda shut up when his dearest captain gets him flustered and he starts rambling about nonsense. Though he'd never admit that if you press him on it. Its a turquoise tinted metal lance, with gold accents along the base of the lance, parts of the handle, and the remnants of the staff it was made from near the bottom. It looks extremely cold to the touch. All in all, this has been one of my favorite weapons to work on for my special icy boy, and I can't wait to make the rest of his arsenal. Also, this is testing the idea of a name title splash card in the corner to better identify the weapon for a viewer, hoping to tweak that on future projects and update older ones with it. Could be fun. Fun fact: There's another version of this weapon that another version of Kalda wields. But that... well, you'll see in time. ;-)

NYE ARTIST RESOLUTION: JULY 2025

A weapon I made for my wife's PC, a Path of the Soul Bond Barbarian, this ultra-greatsword is a weapon that only a warrior like Cinnamon, the "Red Angel", could wield effectively!

She calls it her "B.F.Y. Sword", hilariously.

The B.F.Y. Sword, named by her owner, is a blade of immense power, but at the cost of its barbaric size. Coming in at 194lbs, and nearly 6 and a half feet long, this massive blade is only capable of being wielded by warriors with a base strength score of 18. Cinnamon, the Faeladh from Veralden, is one of the few barbarians on this world capable of using such a massive weapon. She lovingly calls it her B.F.Y. sword (or, less delicately, her Big F!ck You sword.) And any opponent who has faced her and lived goes on tell tales of a large, muscle bound wolf woman with a sword nearly as large as her over her shoulder. Fun fact: Can you believe my wife has never seen Berserk?

After a project fell through, I needed to get something done. So I went back and fixed my lovely gunsword, Rosewater!

Better hammer, cylinder, and texture, this marriage of a greatsword and a hand cannon is a force to be reckoned with!

An improved Rosewater, the gunsword used by my bounty hunting, Oath of Hatred Paladin Bartholomew Ashford. The gun's barrel has been thickened to compensate for the bigger cylinder. It only has three rounds per load, but the rounds used are comparable to .50 caliber rounds, akin to those used by high-power pistols like the Bushwacker .500. This thing packs a punch, which is why it can't be used as a Melee & Ranged at the same time in DnD. Although I firmly believe the weapon would function better in Pathfinder.

For March, I'll share with you a weapon my DM of this same #western #D&D campaign asked me to make.

A soul-stealing fish hook, railroad track chains, and a steam stack handle. The train conducted lich that wields this whip calls it "Trick Track".

A whip, but not a conventional one. The end of the whip rests a large, three-pronged fish hook in teal metal, and glows with undead necromancy magic. The body of the whip is constructed from actual segmented railroad track pieces, with train car connectors linking the tracks together and allowing the pieces to flow like a proper whip. The handle resembles the steam stack of a train, adorned with a glowing eye where the trains headlight would normally be. There's a lever along the handle itself. When pulled, the hook is super-heated and deals extra damage, and smoke begins to billow from the smoke stack. All in all, a fun project that really tested my creativity and flexibility. Pretty good stuff!

Rosewater: A weapon fashioned from the blade of a greatsword soldered onto an old hand cannon. Its the preferred weapon of choice for Bartholomew Asheford, a former cowboy, full-time bounty hunter, and Oath of Hatred Paladin. She's a two handed weapon, featuring an adjusted wood grain grip taken from an old repeater rifle. A darkened-steel single bevel blade runs along the underside of the hand cannon's barrel, and part of the blade near the trigger is dull so that it can be held properly while aiming like a proper gun. A gold rose engraving starts near the trigger, having always been part of the blade. But a long engraving of thorns sprawls out from the base of the rose stem, extending to the top of the blade. These thorns were added to the blade after it was made into a gunsword, and the engraving as a whole serves as the emblem for the paladin's spellcasting. Not a bad finish to her, I'd say! I can check Februrary off for my NYE resolution early!

The rough-draft of a gun-sword I made for my upcoming western dnd campaign. I'm playing as an Oath of Hatred Paladin, who's in universe role is that he's a bounty hunter back from the dead to avenge his own murder. Functionally, Rosewater here takes up both as a greatsword and a hand cannon, and needs an action to switch between them. I designed the gun based closely to Clint Eastwood's 1851 Navy Pistol, with a modified grip so that the weapon could be properly held like a greatsword when used as a melee weapon. There's a gold decorational engraving of a rose on the greatsword blade, just under the barrel of the gun. Where it's stem ends, a long vine of thorns stretches out along the sharp end of the sword, reaching all the way to the tip of the blade. She's still a work in progress, but I hope to have something a little more rounded out in February.

The first mansion I made from a campaign run by @alecazzam.bsky.social, with the help of my party's wizard. It only accommodates two, but it was made for my fighter to take the cleric, played by @inakoffen.bsky.social, on a proper date. It remains my personal favorite.

At last, the first Magnificent Mansion map I ever made. For context: My fighter, an Ice Genasi, wanted to confess his feelings for the party's cleric, a yellow tiefling. However, he had never felt this way about anyone, and the poor guy went to the wizard, a cartomancer, for some kind of help. His solution was this spell. The kitchen and cellar serve their purposes, and are exactly the same as map 1. The dining table, now seated for two, sits on top of two colored carpets: One blue amd one yellow. The chairs are the same colors, but counter the carpets, creating that split-tone of complimenting colors that the two party members shared. There's a small study in the northwest of this map, complete with a bottle of wine and two glasses. The fireplace is still here, but it's adorned with the head of a green dragon we had slain, one of the bigger villains of that campaign. The second floor, however, was entirely the wizards idea: The stairs to the second floor reveal a small canal, suspended within this demiplane. It's lit underneath, revealing fish of all kinds from the clerics homeland, and the sky, marked by aurora borealis, was drawn from the fighter's memories of home. A small canoe is placed here, acting as the only way to get from there to the bedrooms, but it made for the perfect place for the fighter to confess himself. Now, I didn't know it at the time, but what the wizard had done here was set up a Little Mermaid reference. I didn't realize it when I made the map, but I sure did when it came up. Still, even though it doesn't accommodate the whole party, it remains my favorite map of the Magnificent Mansion spell, and it's probably going to stay that way.

Same layout, more cheer! The kitchen now features a bright orange floor. The cellar is a darker brown now, but the large barrels of ale have had festive, colorful lights draped over them! The barrels in the southwest of this room are covered in holiday treats, and two tables have been set up here to play games and spread the mariment! The chandeliers and fireplace are back in this version, with some festive garland draped around the fireplace. A mounted moose-head watches over the dining hall, evoking the feeling of those old lodges my folks would take me to during the holidays. The 10-seat table features eight green chairs and two red chairs at the heads. And, most notably, a large pine tree wrapped in ornaments has been placed in the northwest, with tons of presents underneath it! The bedrooms are the same as map 1: Six bed rooms, three to the west with king size beds, and three to the east with two twins. The sheets and rugs, however, have been made all red and green to celebrate the occasion. And the best part: The wizard has made extra care to place a smaller ornament-wrapped tree in each bedroom. They're lit just bright enough to lull you to sleep with they're beautiful colors. Who says a campaign doesn't need a holiday episode? And this one is perfect for it!

Next up: A much more Gothic variation. The cellar has been converted into a training area, and one of the bedrooms is now a strategy room, among... other changes. Perfect for a darker campaign!

Similar layout to the first map, with some subtle changes: The kitchen and cellar have much darker and dirtier floors, while the main hall and second floor now sport a darker, blood-orange hue. The 10-seater table is now a large, red glass topped, coffin-shaped table. The fireplace is removed, the walls now adorned with more torches instead. The bedrooms are the same as map 1, but the beds are adorned with mute, monochrome sheets. Furthermore, the northwest bedroom is now gone, replaced by a table filled with maps, papers, and utensils for planning your party's next move. The lighting overall is more harsh, as well, making those dark corners even darker. Perfect for when your wizard is secretly a vampire and can't find a more subtle way to break that news.

Every map here is two floors, the first on the left and the second on the right. The first floor features a small but fully stocked kitchen to the southwest, and the southeast corner features a cellar with barrels full of ales, beers, and other delicious beverages. The main feature of floor one is the 10-seat table, bursting with food from end to end, all sat beneath two chandeliers above a patterned olive green stone floor. A warm fireplace takes up the north. A staircase in the northwest leads to the second floor. The second floor features six bedrooms in total: Three to the west, each sporting one king-size bed, and three to the east, each sporting two twin-size beds. Accommodates 9-12 players. Simple, but perfect for such a spell!
