I am no historian but I would bet that this is the first time the Social Security Administration has ever sent a blatantly partisan announcement. And to send it on not-Independence Day is especially reprehensible. (If you receive this, I wouldn't follow the link to your account.)

55 years ago my life was irrevocably changed by the Kent State massacre. Students were killed by our government for peaceful protesting. 55 years later I fear our current government would not think twice about killing peaceful protestors. We can't let this happen again.

55 years ago my life was irrevocably changed by the Kent State massacre. Students were killed by our government for peaceful protesting. 55 years later I fear our current government would not think twice about killing peaceful protestors. We can't let this happen again.
