The appropriateness of the term aside, effeminacy, as defined and described by the Angelic Doctor (unwillingness to stand up or push back against what is wrong) is ironically an excellent description of the American Catholic right’s supine capitulation to the diseased predator running this country.

I’ve been reading his stuff since the conclave. I totally disagree with his worldview but he’s refreshingly honest from a trad perspective about Leo’s continuity with Francis.

The educated of the day certainly would have included the clergy. Magellan not only knew the earth was round, he knew the Church knew it as well, and never would have said anything so absurd.
