Today would be a very good day to call your Dem Senators and Reps and tell them to stand strong against the GOP CR. Don't cave. We have them on the ropes. If your reps are Rs, tell them to come back to DC, extend the ACA credits, and fund SNAP.

I won't repost the vile young Republican texts. And I won't hold my breath waiting for elected GOP officials to condemn them. But they SHOULD. Unequivocally. Let's see if ANY of them are repulsed enough to throw these sociopaths out of the party.

All they had to do was say no. Colleges and universities. Media companies. Law firms. Corporations. GOP members of Congress. SCOTUS. The military. Red state governors and AGs. But no. They all caved. They are either all cowards or this is what they want. They're either spineless or evil. Period.

Gov Newsom has floated the idea of withholding fed tax $ and using them to fund state programs. I think Gov Pritzker has, too. Maybe they need constituents to join a class action lawsuit to make this happen. I have called my Gov and AG and told them I'd be happy to get involved in such an action!

Yes, the Senate just passed this abomination of a bill. But we're not done fighting. It goes back to the House for final approval of the revisions that were made. For now, may Murkowski never get another night's sleep. She could have saved AK AND the US with a no vote. Insane.

The people in the cars passing by were honking horns, waving flags, and holding up signs in support. They came prepared! It rained in Waltham but we didn't feel it. My guess is there were 500-1000 people on the Common. Totally peaceful, no counter protesters, no visible police. Just we the people!

The simplest and sanest solution to the "undocumented immigrant" problem is to surge immigration lawyers and judges to vet immigrants and process applications for documentation quickly. The problem is with the system, not the immigrants. They just want to come here to work and live in peace.

I just called my sens/rep. This HAS to be the red line. If he's arresting judges, then democracy is no longer on life support. It's dead. I impressed upon them that they MUST somehow get their R colleagues to understand that it's go time. This is it. There's no alternative, no waiting. Now or never.
