Trust by Hernan Diaz ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It is easy to understand why this won a Pulitzer, it is phenomenal. A very interesting take on a "mystery" novel that ultimately let's the reader decide who the victim is. Highly recommend.

The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon 7-3-24 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Shakespearean tragedy set in early 1900s Barcelona. A murder mystery and a love story that tells of the importance of letting go, less we are consumed by our past. I really, really enjoyed this.

The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wow, talk about killing your debut. I don't really know how to tell you what it's about... killing gods? The end of the world on acid? Lions? A heartbreaking love story? All of the above. Read it, and read it now.

Black AF History: The Un-Whitewashed History of America by Michael Harriot (@michaelharriot.bsky.social)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I wanted to learn more about the history you're not taught at a predominantly white, Christian high-school. It made me mad, sad, and laugh out loud. Read this.

Between Two Fires: An Epic Tale of Medieval Horror by Christopher Buehlman(@buehlmeister.bsky.social)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was actually kind of sad when I finished this. It's kind of like a good vs evil "A Knights Tale" sort of? It's hard to describe it, but it's awesome.

I don’t have many followers here, but I’m going to start releasing my “Books I read in 2024” list, starting with my top 5. I started 2024 with a goal of reading 24 books and am currently sitting at 47. 😬

I guess at least it's nice to be around good people as the world falls down.
