Hugely privileged to give oral evidence at House of Lords Committee of #Autism Act and next Strategy. With @suereviews.bsky.social and Prof Karen Guldberg @unibirmingham.bsky.social we shared evidence on how to improve education and transitions to adulthood for #ActuallyAutistic ppl in England.

Really looking forward to hearing @jmvincent.bsky.social talking about how to support successful transition to employment for autistic students. We need to ensure excellent graduate outcomes for all our students, and disabled students face more barriers when leaving University. #INIP

“Not a single party is standing up for working class people and Reform offers nothing but division. No plan for the NHS. No plan for transport. No answer to the cost of living crisis. If we want change, we need to come together and demand it.”

Could you mentor a neurodivergent, early career humanities academic? I did this last time: it's not a big time commitment and is massively rewarding. You don't necessarily have to be neurodivergent/in humanities yourself. @ndhumanities.bsky.social

Some of our takeaway messages were to:
✅increase funding to improve inclusion across all settings;
✅decouple autism diagnosis and identification of needs;
✅build #autisitc pupils' self-advocacy;
✅develop transition-age services/pathways.
