Harebells were outnumbered by drifts of Small Scabious in the Yorkshire Dales nature reserves we explored this week, but there’s always something special about those perfect papery bells nodding in the breeze.

I love a treasure hunt so I enjoyed being given directions to a #Derbyshire upland stream to seek this out. Then, having got my eye in, was thrilled to find my own in a boggy ditch closer to home
