The Times sinks further. This is like a witch hunt. Perhaps look at some of the other politicians out there who may not have won pass the parcel aged 5 as they said they did

Is that BBC impartiality?
December 1, 2025 at 8:51 AM
It is not Mason's job to pass judgement on the chancellor. A failure of impartiality. I would complain to the BBC but try to avoid listening to Mason so it makes it difficult

A govt minister able to communicate is very welcome. Pity that will get lost in all the other dreadful communication from the govt.

I love the advent music - my favourite service is the Advent carol service. A lovely one in Paisley Abbey yesterday - from darkness into light. I love the christmas music too but not if we miss out on advent music by hearing it too early.

They have the concentration of a knat. Adrenalin junkies who need their next fix. Very westminster bubble. They can't even focus on the detail or facts of policies like 2 child benefit. And the politicians encourage it. What a state of a country.

I am just shouting at r4 Broadcasting House who are spending a lot of time on this. Political commentators staring at their navels!

Can you not set the agenda? It us your job to make it an issue that is discussed. Proactive not reactive

Thank you for this. Of all the proposals rrstricting himan rights is what scares me most. Start of a slippery slope. I feel as thoigh I have hone throigh the looking glass listening to a labour home sec say such things😱😢

Britain is in a hole. Real wages have barely risen in 17 years, and the public realm is fraying. Our politics is increasingly fractious as a result. The underlying reason? The biggest productivity slowdown in the G7.

It's horrendous.

Makes more sense than the Home Sec. It's an illogical policy which discourages integration. Labour seem to sink further each day.
November 17, 2025 at 7:49 AM
How can that encourage integration? 😱

Well that's my vote decided for Holyrood next year - & it. won't be labour. Anas Sarwar must have his head in his hands.

Labour party have lost the plot. This is just downright cruelty
November 15, 2025 at 11:28 PM
The labour party has become something unrecognisable.

As a child we always had chicken on christmas day. I often choose to have something other than turkey as it is my least favourite meat. Didn't know turkey was compulsory!
