This piece on the Idea Maze vs. Growth Maze in AI is worth a read. It got me thinking. Some AI products take off because they feel inevitable. Others stall because they do not fit the story people expect. What does that mean for what comes next?

Can anyone explain to me why home listings first photo now all seem to be the dining room? Or if not that, a bathroom?
Is this the end of curb appeal?
And FYI - no, no it's not making me want to click on your listing.

Do we want this?
Yes - preparing for the future me. 🪄
Maybe - it will scare the crap out of me and have me chasing medicine. 🫦
No - how long until insurance companies offer this to me for "free" and use it to calculate my rate? 😨

#futurepathing is always an adventure.

Are you an "Onion" thinker or a "Tetris" thinker?
We need to hear ideas in the Tetris way.
Simple, clear, easy to put in a box.
So we know what to DO next.
And
I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't see themselves as an Onion. Complex, nuanced, hard to categorize.
We fight the idea of being boxed in.

My YouTube is full of RV tours (don't ask).
Here's the thing: they all look identical.
Because they're optimizing for "liked."
And all I'm getting is sameness.
Maybe it's time to be silver.

This way.
I'm honored to call this author a friend.
And reading her story of fire, both past and present,
had me gasp.
So I had to share.

Oof. I'm getting a lesson in habits this morning.
I keep opening #tiktok and then going, "Oop. No. Not today."
Help me feel less of an idiot and tell me I'm not alone in doing this.

I'm re-watching the Tudors.

I hope it stays on course.

When you’re sharing an idea with someone, they’re creating a silent sentence in their head about its potential.

Their reaction and feedback to the idea is a reaction to that sentence, not what you actually said.

It’s why I prefer the question “What did you hear?” to “What do you think?”

Request - can the product people who manage contacts on my phone please add the ability to have pet names and/or kids names up at the top.
Eg.
Sarah Jones
D - Chilli, Clove
555-123-4567

Or
Jennifer Budgins
K - Fred, Julie
444-234-5678

THIS would be useful.
Just sayin

I had questions.
Kate has answers.
I’m seeing a lot of confusion about the Equal Rights Amendment online.

I've been working on the ERA for 13 years & literally wrote a book about it.

So, let me help answer some questions.

1) Yes, it really is a real amendment & fully part of the U.S. Constitution. Full stop.

Feminine energy.
Right here.
No one should be discriminated against based on their sex. It’s long past time for women’s equal rights to be recognized in our Constitution.
