Congress does not control the police in any state.Governors do not control municipal police (they report to a police chief who reports to a mayor). Govs only control state troopers.AOC, Bernie, others HAVE been going to red states.Tv News? It’s been dead since Obama.Only seniors watch it.

PS not a Bondi fan and she wouldn’t t have done it anyway but initial criminal prosecutions are brought by individual state attorneys not the attorney general.

I understand but this thread is about the federal government shutdown over Medicaid cuts/ACA subsidies.While there are numerous other problems with health care,state problems are dealt with in your individual states.Dems are only trying to fix 2 issues rn and bringing in others is a distraction.

He may not be sure he has control of how the Guard will respond. Far too many people on Bluesky assume the troops are on “our” side “cuz of their oath to the Constitution”. Military history does not bear that out. Nobody gave an order to fire at Kent State. The soldiers made that decision.
