Just a regular person who doesn’t want to live in a dumpster juice world
Can we stop the insanity that allows people to assume that in a country of school shootings, requiring locked doors to all schools, that some rando can show up at a place for kids & demand entrance is in any way reasonable or proof of anything? What is wrong with people? Racism. Xenophobia. Duh.

Earlier this week I was out at a bar but not drinking alcohol. It turns out that if you don’t drink the beers you’ll be the most parched. Anyway, a person got a round. They chose plain club soda; I chose plain water. I realized some people do in fact want their water with jazz hands. Not this guy.

Well, we are at the spot on the X Y axis where my age (old & hot) & temperature (set to cremate) have met that a loose, flowy dress is the only tolerable clothing option. This heat dome is for the birds. Who are sweltering.

Friendly reminder that cities are not inherently dangerous. I’ve lived all of my 43 years in one and can report I’m just fine. Great, even. A wild notion for those who don’t live in cities but I’d argue I’m the actual subject matter expert in that debate.

Found myself pondering what Laura Ingalls Wilder of Little House on the Prairie who got her very own tin cup for a Christmas present so she didn’t have to share would think of us all with our never ending water bottles & jugs we tote around that even have decorations & their own purses. Wild.

Sometimes you have to be ok with ‘Cs get degrees’ if you’re 43 years old & return to get a second degree when you don’t have to but you want to & the class is absurdly hard but necessary towards the end goal. The Type A in me is STRUGGLING with that though

The interviews of the Prevost family are so heartwarming. I’m so touched by what feels like an example of what is good in this world - our love & care for one another & what binds us all together.

From here on out, my kids will get one super special Christmas banana only. A real luxury of a treat.
Excited for all the new American banana and coffee factories.

So true. I’ve always wondered why my kids used that phrase specifically about an internet search
the kids do not use google as a verb- they say "search it up"

Tariffs are a regressive tax on the poor & middle class.

If I have $100 & you have $10,000 and the item in question now costs $15 instead of $10, it’s pretty obvious who feels it more.

Here we go again where I’m forced to FAFO just to benefit the rich.

Last semester I had an in-person group lab. And a young person I nicknamed Doogie Hauser who could whip through & get us in & out quick, assignment complete. This semester, I’m at home, no Doogie in sight, and it’s total bullshit. Takes FOREVER. It’s all so rude.

I hate the trend in cooking videos where ingredients are added from 6 stories above to fly all over the place, immediate cut to clean work surface, next. I’m not wasting any of my cheese by dropping it from above to have it fly all over the kitchen like some sort of rescue mission supplies drop.

All women deserve to be paid equally for equal work. On #EqualPayDay, we recognize the injustice of the wage gap, where women earn 75 cents on the dollar compared to men.

We're committed to closing the wage gap and ensuring women get the dignity and respect they deserve at work.

Rotting in bed watching Megan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, new show. I did manage to buy edible flowers to sprinkle on food from the comfort of my bed so maybe when I get up I can be fancy too. Maybe.

There are few things in life as precious to me as when my kids get in the shower & belt out songs at the top of their lungs. I don’t think they realize the whole neighborhood can indeed hear them

"They are pretty much just coming here, chopping heads off, without really doing their homework," James said. "He (Trump) got elected president and he's doing a lot of things that people never even imagined that he was going to do to us”

Lesson: The leopard will in fact eat YOUR face.

What Mayor Wu said!

The false narratives the right weaves regarding so-called threats to safety is nothing more than a bunch of smoke & mirrors designed to make people lose track of actual work they could do to improve communities around this country.
Wu: If you wanted to make us safe, pass gun reforms. Stop cutting medicaid. Stop cutting cancer research. Stop cutting funds for veterans. That is what will make our city safe.

Minnesota doesn’t play! What Ken said.
Ken Martin told Elon Musk to "go to hell" tonight for laying off veterans and civil servants.

Rep Al Green is absolutely correct.

THERE IS NO MANDATE TO CUT MEDICAID!

Bravo, sir, for making good trouble!

The real question with reports like this is, will Republican members stop behaving as NPCs (as Ezra Klein described them)? How long will fealty last with this kind of pressure? Keep shouting them down! 🍿

Dear Democrats, it’s time. Be outrageous. Ruthless. No more decency arguments. Just do it. People are watching. And need your fight. Nothing riles a base more than threats to their hard earned money (Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, jobs & price of goods). Or we are donezo at the hands of clowns
