My little brother turns 40 next week and my Dad (who doesn't drive anymore) just saw a commercial for Burger King doing TMNT kids meals, so I've been given a special birthday mission. Since I'm a vegetarian, he promised he'll eat all the kids meals and we'll try to collect all the Ninja Turtles.

Had back to back meetings from 11-8 today and then successfully changed the broken heating element on our 14 year old oven which appears to *not* be the reason the oven won't heat up. So it's been a day. But the kid is in bed with the lights out before 11 so I'm taking the win.

Super Bowl viewers Sunday speculated that 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos appeared in the halftime show. In fact, he has been in hiding with his family.

“He can’t sleep well at night. He wakes up three or four times a night screaming, ‘Daddy, Daddy,’” Liam's father Adrian Conejo Arias, said.

When Texas lawmakers tried to visit 33-year-old “political prisoner” Leqaa Kordia at an ICE facility, she’d already lost 50 pounds and was running a high fever.

By Friday, she was hospitalized. But her family still has not been able to locate her.

This is gender.
Living in this country, it’s just a reality that the left and liberals are expected to do more and uphold more. I don’t know how you can come away with any other conclusion than that when you flip the script on the above premise.

Do you know how many times I have brought my neighbor's dog back to the yard? They want us to mediate ALL of our relationships through their technology. Just talk to your neighbors. Borrow some sugar. Make them some cookies. The "technology" of finding lost pets hasn't changed for good reason.

okay i know ppl who have had this disorder. my aunt was an emergency room doctor in oregon and has treated people with it. we do not know enough about it.

but there's no fucking way 30% of daily cannabis users have it. never in a million years could that be true.
second, a new-to-me humdinger, the claim that “nearly 2.8 million people suffer from cannabis hyperemesis syndrome”. this is bonkers on its face, a stat made up to scare the uninvolved. Click through the studies mentioned, you end up with a projection from a single study, spun up to a What If number

It’s eminently logical — not “extreme” — for athletes who’ve trained their WHOLE LIVES for one event to take similar precautions in order to stay in peak physical condition

One of my favorite things about my neighborhood is the dominoes abuelos at the park. They bring a whole set up. One of them has a Dominican flag hammock that he strings up between 2 hundred year old elm trees. That's how you know it's Spring. They're out there with the card table and folding chairs.
Hard to get pictures that aren't blurry

Anyway, next stop was a table of abuelos playing dominoes

Often considered Puerto Rico's national pastime and enjoyed by people of all generations

He specifically talks about playing dominoes with his abuelo in "DtMF"
