It’s so shite. They’re still bleating on about a few refugees in hotels, meanwhile so many vulnerable people gonna get sick because of “cost-cutting”.

Because fucking hell:

Changes in eligibility
The changes to eligibility were made on the advice of a group of independent experts called the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

It recommended that eligibility for the Covid autumn booster should be changed, external from 2025.

Last year the jab was offered for free to anyone 65 years old and over and those with a long list of chronic or long-term conditions.

That's now been changed with the age limit raised to all those who turn 75 before January 2026, plus residents in care homes for older adults and people classed as immunosuppressed.

That includes those undergoing some cancer treatment and transplant patients, along with those living with HIV and some genetic disorders.

But it means many people with conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, respiratory illneses, asthma and severe mental illness will no longer qualify.

In addition, pregnant women and frontline health and social care workers will not be offered the jab for free this autumn.

The JCVI said Covid was now a "relatively mild disease for most people", with rates of hospitalisation and death having "reduced significantly".

It said focusing on the oldest adults and individuals whose immune systems are compromised, as the two groups who continue to be at higher risk, was based on "a standard cost-effectiveness assessment, in line with other routine vaccinations".

Still trying to do this, but its tough to stay motivated when it isn't coming out the way I want with such a limited tech and a perfectionist mindset. But, I'd like some feedback on an idea I had pop into my mind. Would it be too much to have flames form into Morgoth's Crown in the background?

Annoyingly I cannot swap a Secondary blog to become my new Primary blog on Tumblr... but I don't really want to wipe my old Primary blog and start again cos there's some good stuff on there that I don't want to lose...

If it helps, I remember them saying back in the day, the Theatricals are the versions the studio wanted for mass cinema audience.

The EEs are the version the director and creative teams wanted for the more invested parts of the fandom.

The Extendeds are for the fans. Esp if you want to see more material from the books make it to visual medium. There is a LOT more to take in and for me, the story is more complete with the extra stuff added in.

But they are long. FOTR about 3h 20m; TTT is 3h 40m, and ROTK clocking in at 4hrs

The theatricals are nicely packaged for complete beginners. Like if you’ve never heard of Tolkien before. FOTR + TTT are 3hrs with ROTK just over.

It tells the main story of Frodo and the getting of the Ring to Mount Doom.
