Individual medical model insurance approved “evidence based” psychotherapy cannot save us from collective problems that we pretend are individual problems.

Only collectives, communities can do that

4. Insurance is intrusive and destructive to therapeutic processes and most therapies now are designed to placate insurers.

5. Most people can’t afford therapy. Many therapists can’t afford to take insurance

6. Insurance costs are rising exponentially.

Everyone wants to distance themselves from the poor because it feels nice to look down and say “at least that’s not me.”

It could be any of us at any time. That’s how the system is set up. Bills and financial responsibilities don’t stop because you can’t work.

There’s no shame in admitting it.
