Thank you. He always makes me laugh.

Sunset is at 3:30 today and sunrise is just before 9. but it’s not really felt light at all today. It’s been one of those days that go from black to dark grey and back to black again. Gloomy.

Oh god, yes please. I hate the dark months. I actually love it until Christmas, but as soon as that’s over, I just want spring to start.

Yeah, of course. I’d come and do it for you if the commute wasn’t so long. That’s what I do. I’m so glad I’ve got my sisters close to my mum, but it’s still hard to be so far away from her, especially because I’m fading from her memory.

It’s been a hard week at work and I have another one coming up with evening shifts and long hours, so I’m going to squeeze all the enjoyment I can out of this weekend.

Getting old is hard enough, but with that on top, it must be such an adjustment for him. I’m quite glad that my mum’s dementia jumped over a lot of stages because she had a stroke, which progressed it. It meant she wasn’t really aware of all the moving. As long as she had her favourite chair!

God! Its so hard, isn’t it? Dementia is a bitch. It’s great that your mom is happy though and your dad will settle eventually. Sending lots of love.

Ooh, we were going to try this the other day, but we couldn’t be arsed to roll it out. Next time I’m making the effort. We ended up using the same seasonings and just fried it all up and it tasted really good, so I bet it was good.

Yeah, it’s not so bad in December because everyone has their Christmas lights up and it’s all cosy, but January and February are just long and dark and bitterly cold. I hate those months.

Even in the southern part of Scandinavia, the winter darkness really is a thing. We obviously get sunlight, but some days it feels like the sunrise fades directly onto the sunset when the weather is gloomy.

I’m so proud of him. He’s been waking up at 3:30, going to to the gym at 4 and then working from 6-5 for a lot of this year. He’s going to do it again next year to save up for house renovations.
