Trump is often criticized as a draft dodger. I would like to say that Viet Nam was a war crime, an attack carried out by the US on a nation which was no threat whatsoever to us, having nothing whatsoever to do with any sort of worthy or necessary defense of anything.

Seldom mentioned is that illegal entry into the country is a misdemeanor offence. How many deaths and ruined lives, how many billions are justified to enforce what legally amounts to a fairly serious traffic violation?

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 3.5M undocumented immigrants between TX and FL. 130,000 or so in MN. Odd that ICE is not flooding the streets of Austin and Orlando, rather than Minneapolis.

I love Star Trek, but always found it amusing that, except for the Borg, star ships were models of aerodynamic efficiency, while shuttles for planetary use were little square boxes which would quickly burn up in any kind of atmosphere.

The empire is not dying. The society within the empire is dying, but the empire consists of the military and it’s corporate/billionaire owners, and they’re doing just fine, although they may soon have to assume a bigger share of it’s upkeep.
