My problem with the modern use of AI is that it's surrendering the very thing by which we define our humanity: our capability to create and share ideas. We surrender our ability to communicate for ourselves. We further separate our feelings from our ability to express them. Not a tool, but a trap.

Bondi forms “Anti-Christian Bias Taskforce” to fight imaginary persecution against their imaginary friend, Nessel gets FBI to raid citizens homes, brainworm boy aims to track autism (autistics love trains, right?), ICE kidnaps people, and Tang’s tariffs are still up.
Fuck all of this.

Please for the fucking love of god let this be a tipping point towards getting this regime out.

Your right to civility stops when you are actively trying to harm me
Very few people would scream at people in the street the way they scream at people on social media.

It really does bring out the very worst of people.

My in person coffee mornings are civilised and where people can disagree agreeably.

I wish people could be more like that on social media.

We're gonna need a new constitution, this one's broke.

Dishonesty is not a courtesy.
Our culture often condones "little white lies" for the sake of "courtesy" or to avoid awkwardness. When discovered, these "small" lies of omission & commission are annoying to most people.

To survivors of gaslighting & other emotional abuse, they can be triggering as hell.

Unfortunately, it's not the Democratic party. Individual democrats, yes, but the party itself is an annexed GOP. We need a new, cohesive left movement. Dems ain't that.
People need to know there is someone on their side! The GOP is proving, it’s not them! The time is NOW!!!

Most of what we call "tech" is about getting the right information into a database and trying to prevent the wrong person from reading or updating it.

Everything this administration has done makes sense with the understanding that the entire GOP has been a branch of the FSB for at least the past 10 years.

Remember a little while back when the South Korean president tried to declare martial law, and then a whole bunch of people took to the streets to shut that shit down? It can happen here.

Police bodycam footage from the bridge in Cincy where people chased off neo-nazis.
Officer: "It ain't worth it."
Citizen: "You know it is!"
If it had been a Black Lives Matter group, the cops would've rolled up in riot gear.

Remember that all of this is towards one end: control. It's never about policy, efficiency, morals, etc.. These words get code-switched as cover for greed & hate. In church, it's taught that the word "fear" in scripture is meant as "respect" or "love". It's deliberate. The cruelty is the point.

Now's a great time to make art that bigots would want to ban. Flood the zone.

In the video game Deus Ex (2000), a clandestine group uses a terror attack as a pretext to seize control of the world populous via a police state during an engineered pandemic while two rogue AIs merge and begin to assimil-wait... fuck.

Remember. It’s never:

We fight for (these people) because maybe we’re more at risk if we don’t.

No more Niemölling.

We fight because they are coming for anyone.

Every single person matters.

Each and every human being’s life and safety is worth the fight.

Along with reading more, writing is also an indispensable thing anyone can do right now. Writing a journal, getting your own thoughts & feelings & ideas, putting those in front of you helps clarify who you are to yourself, gives a little more resilience in your own thinking. Reflection is essential.

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons

Ok @schumer.senate.gov, FUCKING DO SOMETHING TO STOP HIM! The GOP practically choked the Obama administration, part of which had a Dem majority. We’re living through an openly fascist coup, and your ineffectual response is a bunch of gag "wait till I told you so" posts. You are the problem.

Happy Black History Month! I only just finished reading "The Fire Next Time" by James Baldwin, and only regret not reading it sooner. It is essential. As someone involved in ministry, I can say that it is a devastatingly concise insight into how fundamental racism is to the American religion.
