I think they think the words "tax break" are more important to getting votes than the number "0.5%". Especially once one party says those words, they all need to.

(I think they're probably right.)

Free TTS is a long way off from the latest in AI, but it's been a neat experience to illustrate both the potential and the limitations of where we're at with technology.

Also maybe the world would be a better place if tech companies put the best of their work into accessibility applications. 2/2

I've been using a text to speech bot to participate in a discord server late at night, and while it's okay at getting inflections for questions at least legible, it has absolutely no capacity for laughter, sarcasm, or the like. 1/

No, but it reminds me of this poem from part 2 of Sir Thomas Browne's _Religio Medici_ (1642). Though I hadn't ever connected this view of sleep to parenting!

Oh, and! All that driven by the infectious delight of East Coast music, which can celebrate and mourn and bring people together in a special way. The band was terrific and fully deserved their share of the ovation.
