Believe it or not, this was the first Monarch butterfly I saw this season (about a week ago)! I remember how common they were when I was a kid. Now, I get excited to see just one!

The light on this red rose stopped me in my tracks. I’ve always found it very difficult to capture all the nuances of the color red, but I think nature gave me a boost this time. 😊♥️

The blue iris symbolizes hope and faith — and do we ever need that now! It was named after the Greek goddess Iris, goddess of the rainbow and a fleet messenger of the gods. I’m celebrating my favorite flower and grateful for its beauty. 😊
