You’ve hit on exactly the player I was annoyed they didn’t make a run for lmao. I can live with the Jared trade reasoning even with how much I believed in him. I’m completely out on paying Grimes and it’s clear that’s Morey’s plan.

I would argue there were players available who could contribute now and during the future Maxey-VJ years. I’m not even saying go throw firsts at HOU for Tari or NO for Herb but use some 2nds! For as excited as I am for the future the team is fighting for a top 4 seed right now with Maxey and VJ!

Can already hear Morey at the press conference saying they believe whichever washed player they sign is comparable to any player they could have reasonably acquired at the deadline. “We acquired who we believe was the best fit for this squad and were able to maintain our future flexibility.”
