I'm a portrait of my past.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

It's not war, see, it's enforcement of an arrest warrant on foreign land.

Clown show. The Constitution is dead.

Pete Hegseth is so Princeton, the least meritorious Ivy.

The Constitution is not a suicide or death pact. The Second Amendment preserves well regulated militias, which provided for the common defense and law enforcement back when we neither had a standing army nor organized police.

The NRA nonsense that was embraced by Scalia is Russia destabilizing us.

You either borrow money from those who have it you tax them. It's just a political choice.

I'll never get over the fact that SCOTUS just straight up nullified the Voting Rights Act. Decided it didn't like the law anymore so it overturned it as no longer having a minimal rational basis because, you know, racial animus in voting rights no longer happens.

Nothing will ever get cheaper in an absolute sense. A coke will never be 50 cents again. But you can pay labor more. You can make the income from labor much more valuable relative to capital by taxing income from capital adequately.

Everyone should read Piketty. Everyone.

"If the U.S. military operation is not an armed conflict of any kind, these orders to kill helpless civilians clinging to the wreckage of a vessel our military destroyed would subject everyone from SECDEF down to the individual who pulled the trigger to prosecution under U.S. law for murder."
Here are US military lawyers stating clearly that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's "kill everybody" orders are either (1) war crimes or (2) murder.

Either way, expect prosecutions in the future.

I'm a dreamin' man. Yes, that's my problem. I can't tell when I'm not being real. In the meadow dusk, I park my Aerostar...with a loaded gun and sweet dreams of you. I'll always be a dreamin' man, I don't have to understand. I know it's all right.

Note that Jeffrey Epstein said this about the current POTUS, the guy currently in the highest office in our nation: ""Recall ive told you,, -- i have met some very bad people ,, none as bad as trump. not one decent cell in his body.. so yes- dangerous."
What does this say about our values & culture?
November 14, 2025 at 2:30 PM
Note that Jeffrey Epstein was a wildly successful financier, who had influence with the most powerful people in the world. That should tell you something about the morality underlying late capitalism and its distribution of wealth.
