AFOPA is responding to the Statement published on 4 October 2025 by the National Press Club of Australia ( NPC) in relation to their cancellation of Chris Hedges’ confirmed appearance at the National ...

"I support the Palestinian bid for statehood in part because it will give heart to the ordinary people of the West Bank and Gaza," Sussan Ley told parliament on 19/09/2011. By May 2025 she no longer supported statehood for Palestine. #auspol www.skynews.com.au/australia-ne...

Parliament was told that the Commissioner of the NACC didn't have any duties with the Defence Force. That simply wasn't true.

I asked if the Government would take steps to stop Australians fighting in the IDF while it is perpetrating a genocide

The Minister says he wishes for peace. What??

Chris Hedges, a Pulitzer-winning journalist dropped a blistering Substack post about his cancelled talk. The National Press Club’s response only deepened the mystery, challenging parts of Hedges' story. We’ve got the email receipts between the players.

Same, same: The fact that a vast majority of Australians agree on a wide array of issues and yet our political leaders advance none of them illustrates just how broken our system is. Power has shifted from the majority to a monied-few. How do we win it back?

Proposed changes to Australia’s FOI laws would make a repeat of the disastrous Robodebt coverup more likely, rather than less, our new research shows.

The PM described Robodebt as a “gross betrayal and human tragedy”, yet his government plans to make cabinet documents harder to access. #auspol
