Perl was my first true language and with that came regular expressions. For the longest of time, I just thought all programmers used regex. That ended up not being the case, so for awhile those were often sent my way.
Now there's helpful sites and probably even AI to help coworkers out.

On the topic of passwords: another big pet peeve of mine is when a site requires me to update my password every x number of days. It's counter intuitive but it leads to less secure passwords. If you need more security, force 2FA or similar to secure the account in question.

While I love #Destiny2, I hate how it ruins your credit score! Every time you logon, it does a hard pull on your credit history!
You'd think they'd optimize it by caching the results or maybe do a soft pull at least, but nope, they go all in with BattlEye!

I feel like that's just a feature of the Caro-Kann and one of the main reasons I enjoy playing it against higher rated players, yet not so much against lower rated players.
This was an OTB game (USATE) where I had white against a 2000+ middle schooler. Dead equal until he blundered on move 39.

Round 4: expert he hit me with 30. Qe5! in this position which was a great move, giving white a bit of an advantage.
Fortunately I did find a defensive resource via 30. ... f6 where white should play 31. Qg3 and now threatening g5 as I have pawns on f6 and h6.

Instead they played Bxg2+?? which puts the game back on track as long as I avoid any perpetuals. It took a lot of my clock to protect against that, down to a minute, but we got there after a force of queen trades.
Chess can be scary and always have to be diligent!
