Unpopular opinion, but I think it’s good to practice empathy even towards people who don’t practice empathy.

ADHD meds are controlled substances; meaning you can still get them with a doctor’s prescription, but are legally required to be inconvenienced several hours per month when picking them up.

I see a lot of “AI is replacing engineers” hype, but the one company that actually tried replacing me with an LLM lost so many clients they went bankrupt in less than a year.

I used up all my social capital warning people about Trump the first time. I’m so isolated and burned out now, the only goal I hope for is survival.

LLMs are a great tool, it’s like if I had a shovel that hit **just** to the left or right of where I was aiming, and sometimes shoveled some dirt on the third or fourth try!

I grew up around airplanes. My dad flew us to family gatherings in his Beech Baron. I landed my first touch-and-go in a Cessna 152 at the age of 17. Over decades of flights, I never felt safer than when in the hands of air traffic control. I wonder if tomorrow I’ll finally stop crying.
