We have global climate and biodiversity crises...humanity still has choices that we could take to avoid extinction...but given our track record, I am not confident and we may well have left it too late.
Born 310 ppm CO2
We are now at risk of tipping points being triggered which would result in runaway warming.

Can you explain why we are doing so little to address this existential crisis?

What are you smoking George? We are heading for a systems collapse as we continue with business as usual...the Greens and Corbyn will remain marginalised by the MSM and powerful business and fossil fuel lobbies.

They are just behind Reform in the race to extinction...
August 31, 2025 at 10:19 AM
Of course they should...but they won't as they are controlled by the fossil fuel industry.

When they roll out the zero standing charges tariffs later this year, will there be a limit on the unit price differentials? If the unit price for the zero s/c was 30% above the standard tariff for e.g. there would be no savings for low energy users...

Yes, we are on the brink of a global collapse and show no signs of pulling back. We have another 10 years at most so make the most of the next decade...

What would be the impact on the climate to more arms and ongoing military conflicts? We seem to address one problem and in the process make the far bigger problem much worse...

The electricity generated from this plant is more carbon intensive than coal. The Govt. cannot decarbonise the grid whilst continuing with biomass.
